Hail Mary

Hail Mary full of Grace, the Lord is with thee.
Blessed are thou among women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb Jesus.
Holy Mary Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death
Amen.

My girlfriend Michelle, upon seeing me breakdown in public recently, consoled me with her beliefs in God. While many of you know I am an Atheist, I was touched by her desire to pass to me a feeling of trust and security that God affords her. I have prayed for Jace, and myself, in these months. I am not arrogant enough to think I actually KNOW if there is a God, so I gladly offer up a prayer, just in case 😉 And I thank, and love, my friend for her warm heart.

But I’m not talking about THAT Hail Mary right now 🙂

The requirements of the police on these proactive stings is not known by the public. Try defending yourself when you don’t know the rules! Imagine playing chess with Bobby Fischer, or hangman when the word to guess is in a language you don’t know. One would assume your defense lawyer knows the playbook but SURPRISE they aren’t shown it either. It’s classified.

We were able to ascertain a few of their requirements at the trial, but no where online can we find their mandates.

What we did find at trial is:

• The defendant has to mention ‘sex’ first. But wait, aren’t we on a one-night-stand webpage???  In Jace case he said “forget sex,  let me come watch. I haven’t gotten that one yet.” (referring to a video game just mentioned).
• The Defendent has to lead the discussion, yet on an 18+ website the police repeatedly say “Wat u thinkin?” before Jace ever ‘talks dirty’.
• The defendant has to make a ‘move’ to execute the crime… in this case they used Jace buying condoms. His reply when interviewed was ” I’m going to meet a consenting adult and I believe in safe sex”.

And that’s it. That’s all they have to prove. Guilty.

And then we found a comment, at the end of an article, that contained an excerpt from the play book!  I feel like Smeagol in “Lord of the rings”, stroking this tiny bit of information in the hopes it will free my son. “My precious…”

We are unsure if it’s even really from the book, if it’s actual law or conjecture, if the law has been amended, etc. But we took a chance and that Hail Mary is spiraling through the air right now…..

So I ask you all to pray with me, just for an instant, that this Hail Mary lands in the end zone!
